Saturdays and Sundays in December before Christmas. 2026 Dates: December 5 & 6, 12 & 13, and 19 & 20. Hours: Noon–5 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Last entry at 4PM. Trains stop running at 5PM.

Multiple model train layouts brought in just for the holidays are presented with special seasonal decorations throughout the campus. The large, permanent HO scale layout being built by your hosts, the Garden State Central Model Railroad Club, Inc., will be open as will the museum room featuring push-button layouts to operate and historic artifacts from model railroading as well as the coal and steel industries being modeled. Plus your admission includes the entire InfoAge campus of museums.
Allow 1-1.5 hours to see the trains. 2-3 hours if visting more museums on site.
It can get busy, especially in early aftenoons. If you are coming just for the trains, we suggest arriving after 3pm when the crowds are usually lighter. Trains stop running at 5pm.
Yes, the trains run continuously during show hours.
Some, yes. There are designated Lionel “hands-on” layouts that visitors can run, featuring new and vintage models. The railroad museum room includes push-button operated trains.
Yes, many guests enjoy taking photos of the displays and of their familiesd running the trains or talking to Santa Claus. We encourage visitors to share images and reviews on social media.
